The National Center for Educational Statistics, a division of the United States Department of Education, provides access to all the educational data gathered by the federal government. In addition to data sets for researchers, all the public access publications of the Dept. of Education can be reached from this site. Better yet, there is a section where users can e-mail their own questions to the NCES and get an answer. Many publications and data sets are available for download, or can be ordered pretty much for free. Your tax dollars have paid for it, so come see what you're getting!
