John Likakis, editor of Warmwater Fly Fishing magazine, penned this informative article to get fly fishers to use popping bugs more effectively. Getting right to the point and explaining his rational, he tells the reader how bugs that fall into the water from the land or air (terrestrials) act once they are in the water. From there he gets into how the fly fisher can mimic those actions by using the rod, special stripping techniques, and even sinking lines that make the floating bug dive.
