PHOTOIMPACT 5.0

Photoimpact was one of the first graphic editors I ever used. That version (3.0) is almost three years old now, but some of its features were ahead of its time. I used it for a long, long time before I learned how to do all of the advanced features that Photoshop could offer. Now I live in Photoshop. But PhotoImpact has impressive advanced features as well. As advanced as it is, there are some powerful wizards and easy-to-use palletes that even a monkey would love. This new version 5.0 is a little late in my opinion with all the Macromedia and other stuff out there. This offering is impressive, I must say. What are they boasting the new version can do? Make instant web templates with the "component designer," create easy Javascript rollovers and buttons, optimize web images, slice images, gif animations, easily drag and drop special effects, instant 3D text, one-click screen captures, and more...that's enough to make me download and try the new version.
