"The Science Fiction Worlds of Jeffrey A. Carver" is an excellent reflection on the author of the "Chaos Chronicles" and "Star Rigger Universe" series. Carver is known for his encouragement of new writers, and he offers essays about being a writer, advice and information for those who aspire to write, and an authoritative selection of recommended readings. He includes some explanation of the publishing game, and why it takes so long for a novel to see print. Of course, the site also contains a wealth of information about Jeff himself, his writings, a complete bibliography, and list of upcoming works--plus free, downloadable short stories. Worth a visit, especially if you are a Carver fan or hope to write your own adventures.
