WEBSITE WITH A DIFFERENCE

This is an international project rather than a run-of-the-mill website. It was developed jointly by teachers at a school in the Netherlands and another school in the USA, and it demonstrates what can be achieved if children are encouraged to become interested in endangered animals. Over 90 schools from every continent, are now participating, and the reports, which are well researched and written by the students, are excellent. The project runs until the end of the 1999 school year, but I would hope that it continues after that. The site is designed for primarily for children and is well organized and easy to navigate around. I was delighted with some the animated graphics, and particularly the one with the crocodile having his teeth examined in the dentist's chair.
