Road Trip!

Wintertime blues got you down? Are you counting the days to "pitchers and catchers"? Take a trip back to the summer of '99 with Rob Kennerson, a Watsonville, California college student who attended baseball games in 30 stadiums over a 67-day period, then recorded his impressions here at his website. You can read Kennerson' diary entries and view photos from the road, check out his route on a U.S. map, and learn which ballparks he thought were the coolest places to watch a game. Amazingly, the 12,000-mile trek only cost the parsimonious collegian something like $5000--most of which was spent on gas. But he ended up with the proverbial lifetime's worth of memories. This site was fun to follow along with when the trip was going on; it's still entertaining in retrospect. Batter up!
