Love By the Nose

So, you thought love was just an emotion? Well, don't look now, but the biology of love is now considered a real science. Birds do it, bees do, and it looks like people do it, too! The next time you glance across the room at the person you love, you can thank your nose. Yes, there is strong evidence that we fall in love with people because of the way they smell. The Science of Love is a site where you can read some not-so-heavy (make that fun) info that explains just how and why this happens. You can even read about the smelly T-shirt experiments that were part of this study, not to mention finding out what chocolate does to the brain. When I took biology, we dissected a crayfish; I think learning about the smell of love would have been much more useful.
