Richard's Tribute To The Lesters

The Lesters....St Louis' first family of gospel music for 75 years. The Lesters ministry began way back in 1925 with Harvey "Pop" Lester and Opal "Mama" Lester singing locally. The Lesters owned a music store. Their son grew and joined them and then he married, and his wife joined them, and then their three children came along and eventually became involved in the ministry, and in the 70's the Lesters became a full time gospel music ministry. Now Pop and Mama Lester are both home with the LORD, but what a legacy they have left behind them! The group now is into the third generation and is reaching into the fourth. They have recorded over 70 albums and perform 250 concerts a year. Richard's tribute site is filled with 75 year's worth of magnificent history and photos with its testimony of thousands and thousands of lives having been touched by one family, and it all began with only one person, Harvey "Pop" Lester.
