New York City’s subway system is one of the biggest and most efficient in the world (though those who regularly take it would rather die than admit it.) The subway is filled with all different types of people, but there are a few types that are more homogeneous than not.
3Turnstile-jumpers
Sometimes you encounter people who don’t want to (or can’t) pay the $2.75 subway entrance fee. These people will usually jump the turnstile so they can get by. This is illegal, so people are less likely to try it at crowded stations where there’s an MTA agent already placed.
