According to BBC, Hong Kong 13-year-old Hillary Yip has created a language-learning app.

Most children’s apps provide either fun or education. However, Yip’s app puts people in contact with individuals from other countries. Kids can “simply hang out and chat,” all the while learning each other’s languages. As a result, her app bridges the gap between ‘fun’ and ‘educational.’

Yip hopes that her app will encourage young kids to become more open-minded and stop stereotyping their peers.
