Single parents find solace in Facebook group

ABC News reports that a Facebook group, called “Surviving Single Parenthood” and created by single father Ronald Hall, is inspiring hundreds of thousands of single parents.

Hall created the group as a means for single parents to connect and exchange stories, advice, and comfort. It currently has almost 105,000 members.

One single mother in the group, Ellen Eberle, has a particularly touching story. She left her husband and is now raising two children by herself. After losing everything, she “felt that [she belonged.]”

Eberle, as well as many other single parents, was also able to obtain Christmas gifts for her children through a Secret Santa program.

Now, Eberle is back on her feet. However, she thanks “Surviving Single Parenthood” for giving her the courage and hope to do so.
