John Dickerson, the host of CBS This Morning, went without technology for a whole day, reports CBS News.
The journey started with camera crews following Dickerson around on a typical Saturday. On this Saturday, he received 86 phone calls, speaking on the phone for over four hours and going online for over two. Dickerson also frequently uses his phone for emailing and setting alarms.
However, one Saturday later, Dickerson went the day without his phone — or any other digital technology. He claims that he felt itchy and missing.
However, there was a bright side to Dickerson’s journey. He realized that so much is available for us to look at in the world. That is, if only we can take our heads out of our phones.
