Walmart to release affordable high fashion brands

Investopedia reports that Walmart is releasing four new high-fashion labels to compete with its rivals.

Even though Walmart does not have a reputation as a fashion retailer, the company is looking to change that. With competitors Amazon and Target making a profit, Walmart’s 150-million weekly shoppers are going to have some new clothing options.

New lines include a kids’ brand called Wonder Nation, a new women’s line called Time and Tru, a plus-sized women’s brand called Terry and Sky, and a revamped brand called George. Additionally, given the privacy of these labels, Walmart will be the only retailer with rights to them.

People who shop at Walmart will now be able to experience high fashion for a much cheaper price.
