Boys in Mobile, Alabama attended a lock-in with motivational speakers at the town recreation center, reports WSFA.
As a means of encouraging the next generation to reduce crime and violence, the lock-in hosted 50 boys and teens and lasted the entire night last night. Not only was the event filled with fun for the boys, it also had guest speakers to motivate them. Some of these speakers included Chief of Police Lawrence Batiste and Superintendent of Schools Chresal Theadgill.
A mentorship program was also established at the lock-in. This gave the boys the opportunity to meet positive role models who could help them in their futures. The boys were dismissed from the recreation center early this morning.
