On February 14th, in Mumbai’s BYL Nair Hospital, surgeons successfully removed a 4-pound, 2-ounce brain tumor from a man’s head. This size and weight places the tumor as the world’s largest brain tumor.
The patient, shopkeeper Santlal Pal, had been battling with this large tumor for the past three years. The tumor caused chronic headaches and vision loss, which doctors believe will improve once he has fully recovered from the procedure.
Even though Pal was on life support three days prior to his surgery, he is now in recovery and doctors are confident that he will be able to lead a happy life once he is fully recovered.
