Lacoste has temporarily changed its logo from the famous crocodile to pictures of 10 endangered species. The shirts were debuted during Paris Fashion Week on March 1st. The limited run was part of the “Save Our Species” campaign.

There were only 1,775 shirts available – one for each endangered animal. For example the Anegada iguana was featured on 450 shirts, while the Gulf of Carolina porpoise only had 30 available shirts.

Wildlife expert Jeff Corwin believes that Lacoste’s efforts were commendable, and hopes that it will inspire other companies to follow suit: “Maybe Jaguar will do something for jaguars. Ram trucks maybe will start protecting big horn sheep.”

All proceeds from the line went to the International Union for Conservation of Nature.
